New Makeover Salon

New Makeover Salon is located on Kishanpura Road in the Santokhpura area of Jalandhar City. It is a standard neighborhood spot where things move at a bit of a slower pace compared to the main city center. We have been sitting on this road for a while and have watched the buildings around us change. The shop itself is pretty straightforward. We have the usual mirrors, some shelves with bottles of oil and cream, and chairs that have seen better days but are still comfortable enough. Most of the people who come here are our neighbors. We know their names and how they like their hair done without them even having to say it. It is more about the conversation sometimes than just the haircut. We talk about the weather or the price of things at the market. There is a small window that looks out onto the street so we can see who is walking by. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to wait it out or work by the natural light from the door. It is just how things are here. We don't try to be something we aren't. We just provide a place for the men and boys of Santokhpura to get their hair cut and maybe hear a bit of local gossip. It is a practical little business that fits right into the daily life of this part of Jalandhar.
