You can find New Ashu Looks Hair Salon over at N. N. 441 in the Gopal Nagar area of Jalandhar City. We are pretty close to the Pilli Kothi, which is how most people find their way to us. Jalandhar is a busy place, but Gopal Nagar is where we’ve set up our little shop. It’s not a huge salon with a lot of staff. Usually, it’s just a couple of us working the chairs. We handle all kinds of hair, mostly for the men and boys in the neighborhood. We've got some pictures pinned up and all the tools you'd expect in a local barber. It’s nothing fancy, just a practical place to get cleaned up. We see a lot of the same people every month. They come in, sit down, and we already know how they like their hair cut. That’s the nice thing about being in a place like this for a long time. You get to know the families around the 144001 area. We aren't trying to be the most modern shop in town. We just want to make sure people leave looking a bit better than when they walked in. The scissors are always moving and there’s usually a bit of gossip or news being shared.
