Nayab Hair Saloon

Nayab Hair Saloon is located right in the Jay Ess Complex at Shastri Market Chowk. If you know Jalandhar City, you know how busy this chowk can get throughout the day. We are sitting right opposite the Union Bank, so we see people going in and out of there all day long. Sometimes bank employees come over for a quick shave during their break. Being in a complex like this means there is always something going on around us. Our shop is just one of many, but we have our own regular crowd. We have a few old pictures on the walls and the mirrors are a bit dusty sometimes, but we try to keep things moving. It gets really crowded on the weekends when everyone is off work. We don't have a waiting room or anything like that, just some benches where people sit and wait their turn. Sometimes we share a cup of tea while waiting for the next person to walk in. The noise from the market is constant, with horns honking and people shouting, but it feels like home to us. We have been at this location for quite some time now and have seen the market change a lot. But inside the shop, things stay pretty much the same. We just do our work, talk to the customers, and keep the scissors moving. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons but we just open the door wider to get some air. It's not the fanciest place in Jalandhar, but it's where we are every day. We just take it one day at a time.
