We are set up at C 23 inside the Sports & Surgical Complex. It’s an interesting name for a location, especially since Metro Milk Products is all about dairy. We’ve been in this unit for quite some time now. The complex is always humming with different businesses, but we stick to our corner. Our day starts very early because milk doesn't wait for anyone. By the time most people are waking up, we’ve already been busy for hours. The floors are always being hosed down and everything smells like fresh dairy. It’s a very physical job. We move heavy crates and keep an eye on the processing line. There’s not much time for sitting around. We have a few small offices upstairs where the paperwork happens, but we prefer being downstairs where the action is. The Sports & Surgical Complex is easy enough to find, and we have our regular drivers who know exactly where to back their trucks in. Sometimes we have a quick tea break near the entrance when things calm down in the afternoon. We don’t have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy stories. We just make sure the milk products are processed correctly and get out the door on time. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living and we’ve gotten pretty used to the routine here.
