We are up on the first floor of the N.V. Complex on Police Lines Road. It is near Rajinder Nagar in Jalandhar. If you’re looking for us, look for the stairs near the middle of the building. We’ve been here for a good few years now fixing screens and dealing with slow laptops. The shop is full of old monitors and boxes of cables because we never throw anything away that might be useful later. It gets a bit crowded when more than three people are inside at once. Most days we are just sitting at the bench with a soldering iron or trying to figure out why a motherboard isn't working. It’s dusty work sometimes. We get a lot of students coming in from the nearby areas because their computers stopped working right before a deadline. We try to help them quickly if we can. The noise from the road downstairs is constant but you get used to it after a week or two. We don't have a big sales team or a fancy website. Usually, people just drop by because they saw our sign from the street or a friend told them we could fix their hard drive. Sometimes the internet goes down and we all just sit around drinking tea until it comes back on. That’s just life in a computer shop. We keep the doors open even when it’s hot outside to get a bit of a breeze.
