Ishmeen Exports Private Limited is tucked away behind the Gurudwara in Jandir. It’s a small place, near Bhogpur in Jalandhar. You have to go past the P.O. Jandir to find us. We like it here because it feels like a real community. Most of us living nearby have grown up seeing the local area change, but our corner stays mostly the same. We handle exports, which sounds a lot more glamorous than it actually is. Most of the time it’s just checking boxes, making sure the labels are right, and talking to drivers. Being behind the Gurudwara gives the place a calm feeling, even when things are busy. We don't have any fancy signs or a big reception desk. It’s just a workspace with some desks and storage. We started this because we wanted to do something productive for ourselves and for the town. It’s 144201 area, so we are well-connected enough to Jalandhar city. Sometimes things get a bit chaotic when shipments are due, but we usually figure it out. We don’t use a lot of big words or try to impress people. We just do the work we’re supposed to do and hope it’s good enough. It’s a simple life running a business in Jandir, and we wouldn't have it any other way. People know us here, and that matters more than having a big glass office in the city center. It’s home.
