Alk Overseas

Our place, Alk Overseas, is tucked away on Sodal Link Road. If you know the Tanda Road railway crossings, you’ve probably passed by us without even noticing. We are at B-i-952. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze around here sometimes with the traffic, but we make it work. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a few years now. It’s mostly just a few of us in the office and the guys in the back handling the crates and the heavy lifting. We do a lot of international stuff, which sounds more exciting than it actually is. It’s mostly just checking labels and making sure the weights are right. We don’t have a big shiny sign or a lobby with coffee. Usually, if you come by, you’ll just see us working through a pile of invoices or talking on the phone with a shipping agent. The neighborhood is mostly industrial, so it’s loud during the day. We like it that way because it means people are getting things done. We started small and we’ve stayed pretty much the same size. We don't see the point in getting too big and losing track of what’s happening in the warehouse. Sometimes the rain makes the road a bit of a mess, but we just put our boots on and get to it. It’s a practical way to spend the day. We aren't looking to change the world, just trying to keep things moving. We’ve learned a lot over the years about how to handle different types of goods, and we just keep applying that knowledge to the tasks we have in front of us.
