Basant Metal Works

You can find us tucked away behind Reru Cold Storage in the Focal Point Ext area. It’s a very industrial part of the neighborhood, so there is always the sound of machinery and trucks going by. Basant Metal Works has been here for a good number of years. We don’t have a big sign or a fancy lobby. Most people just look for the cold storage and then find our gate. Inside, it’s a real workshop. We have lathes, welding machines, and a lot of scrap metal lying around. It gets quite hot in the summer, and the floor is usually covered in metal shavings. We do a lot of fabrication and custom metal parts. It’s the kind of work where you get your hands dirty every single day. Our team has been with us for a long time, and they know how to handle the old machines. We don't always have the newest technology, but we know how to make things work. Sometimes a machine will act up, and we have to spend half the morning fixing it before we can get back to the order. It’s just part of the routine. We don't spend money on advertising or shiny brochures. Most of our customers are people we have known for years. We just show up, do the work, and try to keep things moving along steadily. It’s a practical life.
