Aggarwal Steel & Agro Inds.

We are located at D-148 in Focal Point. It’s a decent-sized plot where we handle a lot of steel. Aggarwal Steel & Agro Inds. started out small, and we’ve just kept going from there. We make a lot of parts for farming equipment, so you’ll see plow blades or trailer frames sitting out in the yard. Steel prices go up and down, and that’s usually what we’re talking about over morning tea. The office is just a cabin at the front where we keep the phone and the paperwork. It’s usually covered in dust because of the wind blowing through the industrial area. We have a few machines for bending and cutting the metal, and they make a lot of noise when they’re running. Most of the staff live nearby, so we’re a local bunch. We don't have any fancy brochures to give out. If you want to know what we do, you just have to look at the piles of steel in the back. Sometimes the trucks are late and we have to stay a bit longer to get everything loaded up. It’s just the way things go in the agro industry. We keep the gates open during the day and just get on with the welding and the grinding. It’s a busy life but it keeps us going. We’re just here working.
