Our shop is at 27-La on S.B.I. Colony Road. A S K Tweezers Manufacturing Co is situated on the back side of the Model House area. It can be a little tricky to spot from the main road if you aren't paying attention. We spend most of our hours here working on very small things. Making tweezers requires a lot of sitting at the bench and looking closely at the metal. It’s not a massive factory with hundreds of people. It’s just a small group of us in a regular building. The colony outside is usually full of life with people going to work or school. We have a steady routine every day. We start by checking the materials we have. There are strips of stainless steel and various hand tools all over the place. The lighting has to be just right so we can see what we are doing with the fine tips. Sometimes the radio is playing in the background to keep things from being too quiet. We don't have a big receptionist or a lobby. You just walk in and see us working. It’s a bit cramped because we have to store our finished pieces and the raw metal in the same space. We’ve been at this S.B.I. Colony Road address for a long time now. People in the Model House neighborhood know us as the place that makes the small tools. It’s just a normal, hardworking day for us.
