Yougendra Kirana & General Store

I run the Yougendra Kirana & General Store, which is positioned right across from Jain Emporium in Jhotwara. It’s a local neighborhood shop through and through. I don’t have a fancy address with a bunch of numbers, people just know it’s across from the emporium. Every morning I pull up the heavy metal shutters and start my day. The shop is filled with everything from soap to lentils. I try to keep things organized but sometimes the stock just piles up where there is space. Jhotwara is a busy area and there’s always some noise coming from the street. I have a few regular customers who come by every single day just for a small chat and to buy their daily needs. We talk about the local happenings while I bag up their items. The shelving is old wood and it creaks a bit, but it holds everything just fine. I don't really use any big machines, just a basic scale for weighing things out. Sometimes my son comes by to help me move the heavier crates. It’s a simple life and it gets me by. I like being my own boss even if it means I have to be here all day long. The shop might look a bit cluttered to an outsider, but I know exactly where every single item is hidden away. It’s just a honest place for people to get their groceries without any fuss.
