Yatish General Store

Yatish General Store is located right at the Raja Cycle Choraya. It's a busy spot where the traffic from Sri Nagar Road and Shastri Nagar all seems to meet up. Being at 34/64, we see a lot of people passing by on their bikes or walking to the nearby offices. The shop is filled with all sorts of general items you might need in a hurry. We have buckets, soaps, snacks, and whatever else people ask for. Sometimes the shelves get a bit dusty because of all the vehicles driving past the crossing, so we spend a lot of time wiping things down. It’s not a quiet place, but you get used to the sound of horns and people shouting. The space inside is packed from floor to ceiling. We know where everything is, even if it looks like a bit of a jumble to someone else. Some days are much busier than others, especially when the schools nearby let out and the kids come in for small treats. We don’t have a lot of staff, usually just one or two of us behind the counter handling the cash and bagging things up. It’s a simple way to make a living, being part of the neighborhood like this. We’ve been at this Raja Cycle corner for a long time now. Nothing much changes about the way we run things, we just keep the doors open and wait for the next customer to arrive.
