Yasin Kirana Store

Yasin Kirana Store is located at Shop No2 in the Khatipura area of Jaipur. We are just a local grocery shop that handles the needs of the families living nearby. It’s a small place, nothing like those big supermarkets you see in the malls. We keep the basic things like flour, pulses, and oils. I’ve been running this shop for a long time, and I pretty much know everyone who walks through the door. The shop is quite simple with basic wooden racks and a counter where I sit most of the day. Khatipura is a busy part of Jaipur, but inside the shop, it’s usually just a few people at a time talking about the weather or the prices of vegetables. We don't have any fancy marketing or big plans for the future. We just want to make sure the shelves have enough stock for the next day. Sometimes it’s hard to keep up with everything, especially when the big trucks come to deliver the heavy sacks. It’s a lot of lifting and moving things around. I use a simple ledger to keep track of things. We open early and close late, which is just the way it is with a kirana store. It’s not an easy job, but it’s a steady one. We are just here in Jaipur, doing our daily work and serving the people in our neighborhood.
