Yamin Kirana Store

Yamin Kirana Store is located at 292, Jalupura, right in the heart of Jaipur. We are 302001 and very close to MI Road, so there is always a lot of noise and movement outside. The shop is tucked away but the locals know exactly where to find us when they run out of salt or sugar. Jaipur gets incredibly hot during the summer months, so we spend a lot of time under the ceiling fan waiting for the sun to go down. I usually start the day by sweeping the front step and arranging the crates of cold drinks. We carry all the basic kirana items that a kitchen needs. Sometimes the jars of spices get a bit dusty from the road traffic, so we have to wipe them down often. It is just a small family-run spot where we recognize most of the people who walk through the door. We don't have a fancy website or anything like that. If you need something, you just come by and ask. My uncle helps me on the weekends when it gets a bit more crowded with people coming from the MI Road area. We have seen kids grow up and start buying groceries for their own homes now. It makes the time feel like it has gone by fast. We just keep the shelves stocked and the door open for whoever needs a few things for dinner.
