Yadav Kirana & General Store is right here at Sirsi More in Jaipur. We’ve been part of the Ganga Vihar Colony for a while now. Most days start pretty early because that’s when people want their milk and bread before heading to work. The shop isn't anything fancy, just a regular place with shelves full of pulses, spices, and soaps. Living and working in the 302021 area means we know most of the faces that walk through the door. Sometimes the traffic at the more gets a bit loud, but you get used to it after a few years. We spend a lot of time just moving boxes around and making sure things are where they belong. It’s a lot of work keeping track of what’s running low. Whether it’s a bag of flour or just a pack of biscuits, we try to keep the basics ready. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but there’s always something else to do first. It’s just how things go in a neighborhood shop. You talk to the neighbors about the weather or the local news while weighing out sugar. It’s a simple life here in this part of Jaipur. We just keep the doors open and wait for the next person to come in looking for something they forgot to get earlier. It’s a steady rhythm that defines our days here.
