This place is right in Raja Park, and it really only comes to life when most other shops are starting to close up. Being in a discotheque means dealing with a lot of loud music and flashing lights for hours on end. My ears usually ring for a while after I go home. The floor is the biggest challenge because it gets so sticky from spilled drinks and people dancing. We spend a lot of time before we open just buffing the surfaces and making sure the speakers are actually working. The entrance is a bit dark, and we have to keep an eye on things to make sure nobody is causing trouble. Raja Park has its own vibe, and it can get a bit rowdy on the weekends. We don’t have a lot of staff, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, from hauling ice bags to fixing the air conditioning. Sometimes the DJ is late and we have to scramble to put on a playlist. It’s a lot of late nights and sleeping through the morning. By the time we finish cleaning up after a shift, the sun is almost coming up. It’s definitely not a job for everyone. We just focus on keeping the lights moving and the music playing until the last person leaves. It’s a loud, tiring business, but it’s what we do here at this address.
