Sikka Lounge

We spend most of our days here in Subhash Nagar. It is a busy part of Shastri Nagar, and things get pretty loud outside with the traffic and people shouting. We opened Sikka Lounge because there was not much around this specific corner for a long time. Usually, we arrive early in the morning to get the place ready for whoever might show up. We wipe down the tables and check if the lights are all working right. Sometimes the delivery guys show up late, which is a real pain, but we manage to get things sorted eventually. People come in mostly in the evenings when it cools down a bit. It is a mix of younger kids and some older folks who just want to sit for a bit and talk. We do not have fancy decorations or anything special like that. It is just some chairs, some tables, and a menu. Some days are very slow, especially when it rains hard and the street gets messy and muddy. We spend that time cleaning the back or just talking to each other about our families. We have been here for a while now, so we know the neighbors pretty well. The shop next door sells snacks, and sometimes we trade what we have for a bit of their stuff. It is not a huge operation at all. Just a few of us making sure people have a place to sit. We try to keep things tidy, even if the dust is hard to beat.
