Weleshwar Mahila Farmer Producer Company Limited is based in the village of Weltura, right by the post office in Jaipur. This is a rural area where life moves a bit slower. We are a group of women from the village who started this company together. Most of us have been working in the fields since we were children. We don't have a formal office with desks and computers. We usually meet up at a house in Weltura or under a large tree to discuss our farming business. It is all very simple and practical. We talk about what seeds to buy and when it is the best time to sell our produce. Being a mahila group, we understand the struggles of the women in our village. We try to help each other out whenever we can. The work is hard and it never really ends. We are out in the sun and rain every day. We don't use any fancy business words or have big goals of becoming a huge corporation. We just want to make sure our families are taken care of and our farms are doing well.
