Watch & Radio Centre

Watch & Radio Centre is at 213, near Pink City in the Chaura Rasta area. We’ve been around for quite some time, dealing with stuff that most people don't use as much anymore, like old-style radios. Of course, we have watches too. The shop is a bit dusty sometimes because of the construction work nearby. We have shelves filled with different parts and some older models that we’ve kept for years. It's a small place, and it smells a bit like old metal and oil. People come in looking for a specific battery or a radio that can pick up the local stations clearly. We don't have a website or anything like that. Most of our customers are locals who have been coming to Chaura Rasta since they were kids. We talk to everyone who comes in, mostly about the weather or how the market is doing. The watches we have are mostly the reliable kind, nothing too flashy. Working on a radio takes time and a steady hand, and we do that right at the small desk in the back. Sometimes the light in here isn't the best, so we use a little lamp to see the small bits. It’s a quiet life in the shop, even though the street outside is usually full of people and cows. We just keep the doors open and see who stops by to say hello or look at a clock.
