Kishan Watch Co

Our shop, Kishan Watch Co, is located in the Mansarovar area. We are at 38/21 Kiran Path, which is just off Madhyam Marg. This part of Jaipur is quite different from the old city. It feels a bit more open, though it still gets very busy during the day. Most of our time is spent working on watches of all shapes and sizes. The shop is small and we’ve tried to make the most of the space we have. There are tools and spare parts scattered all around the workbench. It’s not the neatest place you’ll ever see, but we know where everything is kept. People in Mansarovar know they can drop by if their watch battery dies or if the strap breaks. Acting like a big international brand isn't for us. We are just local people doing a job we know how to do well. The ceiling fan wobbles a bit when it's on high and the front door creaks, but it doesn't bother us much. While working on the delicate movements inside the watches, we usually listen to the radio. Sometimes the neighbors come in just to say hello and drink some water. It's a friendly atmosphere. Fancy mission statements don't exist here. Making sure the watches that leave here are showing the right time is the main thing. Being on Kiran Path is nice. It’s a good community to be a part of.
