Vinod Behari Mathur

I work out of my place in the Mansarovar SFS area specifically over by Agrawal Farm. It is a quieter part of the city compared to the markets. I have a small room set aside for my work with a solid wooden table and a lamp that I’ve had for twenty years. My name is on a small plate outside. I don't go in for big advertisements or loud signs. Most of the people who come to see me are neighbors or people who heard about me from a friend. The Agrawal Farm area is nice because of the trees and the fact that you can actually hear the birds in the morning. I spend my hours reading through documents and writing things down by hand before I type them up. My chair is a bit squeaky but it’s comfortable enough for a long day. I usually take a walk in the evening when the weather cools down. The neighbors often stop me to ask how things are going. It is a very personal way to do business. I don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting room. If I am busy I just ask people to sit on the bench on the porch for a minute. I’ve seen this colony grow from almost nothing to what it is today. It feels like home here and I plan to keep doing my work from this same spot as long as I can. It’s a simple honest way to spend the day.
