Vasudev Saree Centre

Vasudev Saree Centre is over at A 216 on Khajanewalon Ka Rasta. It’s tucked away in Indira Bazar, which is always a hive of activity. We’ve been here a good while now, and the shop has become part of our daily rhythm. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles here. The walls are lined with shelves, and those shelves are stuffed with sarees. We try to keep things in some kind of order, but when it’s busy, things get a bit messy. That’s just part of the job. Most of the people who come in are looking for a good deal and something that will last. We don't use any fancy words to describe what we sell. A saree is a saree, and you can see the quality for yourself when you feel the fabric. We spend a lot of time chatting with the other shopkeepers on the street while we wait for customers. It’s a tight-knit community here in the bazaar. Some days the heat is a bit much, but we have a fan that keeps the air moving. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in Jaipur. We just want to keep doing what we’ve been doing for years, providing a place where local families can come and find what they need. It’s just how we live.
