Ghoomar Creations

At B-200 Janta Colony, you’ll find us at Ghoomar Creations. It’s a quiet enough street most of the time. We work out of a space that’s mostly filled with fabric, thread, and sewing machines. It’s a bit of a mess, to be honest, with scraps of cloth everywhere and half-finished projects sitting on the tables. But that’s how we work best. We spend most of our hours designing and putting things together. Sometimes the colors don't look right in the morning light, so we have to change things up. It’s a lot of trial and error. People from the colony often drop in to see what we are making or to ask for something specific. We don’t have a big storefront; it’s more of a personal workspace where we get things done. The tea stalls nearby are where we usually take our breaks. Running a small business like this means you’re always doing five things at once. One minute I’m cutting fabric, and the next I’m trying to fix a jammed machine or answering the door. We don't use any fancy language to describe ourselves. We just make things that we think look okay. The walls are covered in sketches and notes taped up wherever there’s space. It’s a busy, somewhat disorganized life, but we enjoy the process of creating something from scratch. It's just a regular day at the shop for us.
