Upadhyay Farmer Producer Company Limited is located over at Vpo Chhonkarwara Kalan in Tehsil Bhusawar. We’re working out of Shiv Singh’s place. If you know the area, it’s not too hard to find us. We are just a group of local farmers trying to make things work better for everyone involved in the company. It’s not a big corporate setup. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. You just walk in and talk to whoever is there. We deal with the realities of farming every single day. Some days are good, some are pretty tough when the market prices drop or the bugs get into the crops. We talk about these things over tea. We try to help each other out with seeds and advice, but we don't pretend to have all the answers. It’s just about being practical. We’ve all lived around Bhusawar for a long time, so we know the families and the land. Shiv Singh helps keep things running on the administrative side, which is a lot of paperwork that none of us really like doing, but it has to be done. We aren't looking for awards or to be famous in the industry. We just want to see the local farms doing okay. It’s a slow life, but it’s ours, and we take it as it comes.
