Umaid Lake Palace

Umaid Lake Palace is situated on the Jaipur Agra National Highway, right near the post office in Kalakho. This is a specific part of the road that sees thousands of people passing through every single week. We are basically right there on the main route, so we get a lot of the dust and noise from the highway. It is a constant stream of traffic, from small cars to those massive long-haul trucks. Being near the Kalakho post office makes it easy for people to find us, which is lucky because the highway all looks the same after a while. We have been at this location for a good bit of time. The daily routine is mostly about keeping the place running and dealing with whatever the day brings. The landscape around here is quite open and can look a bit dry depending on the season. We don't have a big corporate team; we are just local folks working at this spot on the highway. It is a practical place to be if you need to get between Jaipur and Agra. We see the sun rise over the highway every morning and set behind the hills in the evening. It is a simple way of living and working. Umaid Lake Palace is just a fixture of the Kalakho area now, and we are happy with our place on the map.
