Umaid Lake Palace

Our place, Umaid Lake Palace, is right on the Jaipur Agra National Highway. If you are driving between those two cities, you will pass by us near the post office in Kalakhodausa. It is a busy stretch of road with lots of trucks and cars zooming by at all hours. We have been out here for a while, watching the traffic change over the years. The area around Kalakhodausa is quite open, so you can see the highway stretching out for miles. Being located on such a major route means we see a lot of different people. Some are just passing through quickly, while others stop for a bit. The post office nearby is a small landmark for us. It helps people find where we are since the highway can be a bit confusing if you aren't local. The sun gets really bright out here on the open road. We spend a lot of time keeping things tidy and making sure the building looks okay from the street. It is a simple life at Umaid Lake Palace, centered around this one spot on the map. We don't have much to say other than we are here every day. The noise from the national highway is something you just get used to after a week or so. It becomes like background music while we go about our chores. We are just a local spot on the way to Jaipur or Agra.
