Triputi Hotel

People driving on National Highway-8 usually look a bit tired by the time they reach us here in Kotputli. We are right on the stretch between Jaipur and Delhi, which stays busy at all hours of the night. It isn't a quiet place because of all the trucks and cars zooming past, but inside the hotel, things are a bit more still. We have been running this place for some time now and we see all kinds of travelers. Some are just stopping for a quick meal before heading back out into the traffic, while others need a bed for the night because they can't drive anymore. The sun gets really hot on the highway during the summer months, and you can see the heat rising off the asphalt outside our front door. We keep the fans going and try to make sure there is always cold water ready. The rooms are simple and we don't have anything too fancy, just the basics that a person needs when they are away from home. Sometimes the power goes out, which is just part of life here, but we have a generator to keep things moving. Most people who stop here are just looking for a bit of rest and a chance to stretch their legs before the next couple of hours on the road. It’s a practical spot for a break, and we’re just here doing our job every day. It's nothing special, just a place to stop.
