Tejas Tea Company

So, Tejas Tea Company is tucked away in Adarsh Basti. We are at house number 23, right there in the Tonk Phatak area. If you find the Jain Temple, you’re basically there since it’s very close by. It’s a bit of a crowded neighborhood, but we like it that way because it feels like a real community. We deal with tea every single day, and the smell of dried leaves is always in the air here. It’s not a corporate headquarters, just our small place where we handle the tea stocks. Sometimes we’re busy sorting through bags, and other times we’re just sitting around talking about the next batch coming in from the estates. The street can get a little noisy with people going to the temple or the sounds of scooters, but that’s just part of being in Adarsh Basti. We’ve been here for some time now and most of the locals know where to find us. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know the business well. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of what comes in. If the tea isn't right, we don't bother with it. It’s simple work, really. We just want to make sure the tea we provide is decent for everyone. There aren't many frills here, just some desks, old chairs, and lots of tea sacks stacked against the walls. We don't really do much advertising. People usually find us through word of mouth or by just walking past our door.
