Tea Traders

Our place is Tea Traders and we are located at 127 Chaura Rasta. If you know the area, it is right in the middle of all the shops. We have big sacks of tea leaves everywhere. The smell is very strong when you walk in. It is a nice smell though. We spend a lot of time sorting through the different grades. My hands are usually stained a bit brown by the end of the day. We have some old wooden counters that have been here since before I started. They are worn down in the spots where people lean. We don't have a lot of space for customers to sit, so they mostly just stand and talk while we pack their bags. It is a lot of weighing and tying strings. The scales we use are old but they still work fine. We get a lot of regulars who come every week for their supply. We know exactly what they want without them even asking. The street outside is always full of people and cows. It is noisy and crowded, but we like the energy. Sometimes we sit on the steps when it is slow and just watch the world go by. We are just a small tea shop in a busy market. We keep it simple and just focus on the tea. That is all we have ever done here for years. It is a good way to spend the day.
