Super Decor India

Our shop is over at C-52 Ramnagar in the Shashtrinagar area of Jaipur. It’s a pretty standard neighborhood, not too far from the main road but quiet enough that you can hear the birds sometimes. Super Decor India is basically a room full of samples and rolls of stuff. If you walk in, you’ll see piles of catalogs and maybe a bit of dust on the top shelves because there’s so much to keep track of. We don’t have a big fancy showroom. It’s more like a workshop where we keep all the interior materials. The walls are covered with different patterns we’ve tried out over the years. Some days it’s just us sitting here, moving heavy books around for customers who can’t decide what color they want. The floor is a bit scuffed from moving furniture. Shashtrinagar can get really hot in May, so we keep the coolers running as much as we can. It’s a lot of manual work, measuring things out and writing down numbers on scraps of paper. We use a lot of masking tape and measuring tapes that always seem to go missing when you need them. It’s just a small team of us here. We don’t have a big corporate office or anything. It’s just this spot in Ramnagar where we spend our days. Most of the time, the radio is playing softly in the background while we sort through the latest deliveries that arrived.
