Suman Kirana Store

Down here at Suman Kirana Store on Sikar Road, things are always moving. We are right in the Main Market Road 17 area of Vishwakarma Industrial Area. Since there are so many factories and workshops around, we get a lot of workers coming in for tea, cigarettes, and snacks. I keep a good stock of grains and cooking oils too for the families living nearby. The shop is at P-188/166. It’s a dusty area because of all the trucks, so I’m always wiping down the counter. I start the day early, around six, to catch the early shift workers. It’s a practical kind of place. You come in, get what you need, and head out. I don't go for anything fancy. The shelves are wooden and probably need a fresh coat of paint soon. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to use candles or a small torch to find things for the customers. My brother helps me out when I need to go to the big market to restock. We’ve been here for quite a while now. It’s hard work, especially in the summer heat, but it’s what we do. People know they can find the basic stuff here without having to go too far into the city. We keep the store open long hours so we don't miss anyone who needs something after their shift. I spend a lot of time just sitting by the door waiting for the next person.
