S.S. Khandelwal is situated right by the Ambabari Bridge on Jhotwara Road. If you are coming from the city side, we are just near the Shyam Puriya Petrol Pump. It’s a very busy intersection, so there is always the sound of horns and traffic. We have been at this spot for quite some time now. The shop is small and packed with whatever stock we have on hand at the moment. Most of our customers are people who are passing by or neighbors who live in the residential areas nearby. We don't really have a big staff, just a couple of us who know where everything is kept. The bridge makes it a bit shady in the afternoons, which is nice when it gets hot. Sometimes it’s a struggle for people to park because the road is so narrow and fast. We keep the doors open from morning until late at night. There isn't much decoration inside, just some old shelves and a counter where we take the cash and write out receipts. Dealing with the public means you meet all sorts of people every day. We just try to keep the inventory sorted and help people find what they need. It is a local business, nothing more, nothing less. We spend our time checking the ledgers and making sure the orders are coming in correctly from our suppliers.
