Poonam Engineering Works

We’ve been here at Plot No. 63 on Karni Vihar Road No. 15 for a good while now. It’s right in the Badharana V. K. I. Area, which is always busy with trucks and noise. Our workshop isn’t anything fancy to look at, just a place where we get the metal work done day after day. Most mornings start with the sound of machines warming up and the smell of oil. It gets pretty dusty out here in Badharana, but that’s just how industrial areas are. My father started things off, and now a few of us keep the lathes running. We don’t really do much advertising or have a big office staff. People usually find us because they know the lane or saw the sign on the gate. The tea stall around the corner is where we take our breaks when the heat gets too much in the afternoon. We mostly handle small parts and repairs for the other businesses nearby. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside until it comes back on. It’s a simple setup. We keep our tools organized on the old wooden benches and try to stay on top of the orders that come in. If you’re driving down Road No. 15, you’ll see our blue door. It’s not a corporate place, just a local engineering shop doing what we know how to do. We’ve seen the area change over the years, more buildings going up, but our plot stays the same.
