Soni General Store

Soni General Store is located at G-25 in the Central Spine area of Vidhyadhar Nagar. It’s a typical neighborhood shop where we sell a bit of everything for the house. You’ll find different types of lentils, rice, soaps, biscuits, and whatever else people need for their daily cooking. I’ve lived in this area for a long time, so I know most of the families who live in the nearby flats. They often send their kids down to get a bottle of milk or a packet of salt, and we just add it to their monthly tab in our notebook. It’s not like a big supermarket where you take a trolley and wait in line. Here, you just tell me what you want across the counter and I pull it off the shelf for you myself. My wife helps out in the evenings when it gets really busy after everyone gets home from their offices. The shelves are packed right up to the ceiling, so I often have to use a wooden ladder to reach the stuff at the very top. Sometimes we run out of something popular and I have to go to the wholesale market very early the next morning to restock our supplies. We don't do home delivery with an app or anything fancy like that, but if an elderly neighbor calls me up, I’ll drop the bags off at their door on my way home. It’s just a basic local store that serves the people living around here in the colony.
