Somya Grocery

You can find Somya Grocery at Shop No.1 & 2 in Vaibhav Nagar. We are situated near the Salasar Balaji Temple, which is a very busy spot on certain days of the week. Having two shop units gives us a bit more room than some of the other stores around here. We keep all the usual things you would expect to find in a neighborhood grocery. There are shelves of lentils, spices, soaps, and snacks. It is a typical local store where people pop in to grab what they forgot to buy at the big market. I spend a lot of time checking the expiry dates and making sure everything is neatly stacked. Vaibhav Nagar is a nice residential area, so we know most of our neighbors by name. It is a friendly place to be. The temple brings in a lot of people, so we get busy when there are festivals or special prayers going on. The mornings are usually spent taking deliveries and the evenings are for the local families coming home from work. It is just me and a helper most of the time. We don't have a website or any of that stuff; we just open the shutters every morning and wait for people to come in. It is a simple way to earn a living, and we like being part of the community here near the temple.
