Sokia General Store

We have been running this small shop on Gandhi Path in Vaishali Nagar for some time now. It is right here in Sharda Colony, Jaipur. Most days start early for us because we have to open up before the neighborhood gets busy. There is always a lot to do, like checking what is missing from the shelves and making sure we have enough milk and bread for the morning. People stop by for all sorts of things, maybe a pen or some soap, and we try to keep a bit of everything on hand. Sometimes the shop gets a bit crowded when the kids come by after school, but it is mostly quiet. We are not a big supermarket or anything like that, just a regular place where you can find household items without having to go too far. The Jaipur heat can be quite a bit in the summer, so we usually keep the fan running full speed. We know most of the faces that walk through the door by now. It is just honest work, keeping track of inventory and making sure the shop stays clean enough for everyone. We do not have fancy displays, just shelves filled with things people actually use every day. If you live around here in Sharda Colony, you probably know where we are. We just keep doing what we do, day in and day out, making sure the basic stuff is available for the locals who need it.
