Our place is located at 4008 along K.G.B. Ka Rasta in the Johari Bazar neighborhood. If you have ever been through these lanes, you know how tight the space can be and how much energy there is in the air. We are right in the thick of it, surrounded by other traders and craftsmen who have been here for generations. The building we work in is old and has a lot of character, even if the walls could use a bit of paint now and then. Inside, the rooms are packed with boxes and bundles of fabric waiting to be processed. We do not have a lot of room for fancy furniture, so we mostly use wooden stools and big workbenches. The noise from the street outside never really stops, with the sounds of rickshaws and people talking constantly drifting through the windows. We spend our days cutting, sewing, and checking the work to make sure it is decent enough for our customers. It is a lot of repetitive movement, but we are used to it by now. Sometimes the heat in the bazar gets to be a bit much in the peak of summer, but we just drink more water and keep moving. We are not a big company with a lot of complicated rules; we just show up and do what needs to be doing to keep the business running. It is a very normal, local way of doing things.
