Our workshop is at No. 51 Sitabari, right off Tonk Road. We are near Purani Motors, so there are always cars and mechanics around. Hamlata Crafts is a place where things are made by hand. It’s not a factory with assembly lines. We have benches and tools and a lot of raw materials sitting around. Tonk Road is always loud with traffic, but once you step inside our place, it’s a bit different. It’s still noisy, but it’s the sound of hammers and cutting tools. We work with whatever materials are on hand for the day's projects. It’s a practical space. We don't have a showroom with fancy displays. If you want to see what we are doing, you just look at the work tables. We’ve been in the Sitabari area for a while now, and we like it here. There’s always someone stopping by to ask for something or just to say hello. We don’t spend money on polished brochures or websites. We just focus on the crafts themselves. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait it out, which is just part of being in this neighborhood. We keep things simple and try to stay productive. It’s a small team of us, and we all know our roles. We just do the best we can with the tools we have. We aren't trying to impress anyone, we just like making things.
