Simaya

You can find Simaya over on Gautam Marg, right near the Allahabad Bank at Amrapali Circle in Vaishali Nagar. It is a busy part of town with a lot of traffic and people. Our shop is at F-23, tucked in among the other buildings. We have a variety of things on the shelves, mostly items we think the local people might need or like. It is a small storefront where we spend most of our time. We opened up here because it seemed like a good spot with all the people going to the bank or walking around the circle. Usually, we are busy tidying things up or seeing what we need to order next. It gets pretty hectic on the weekends when more people are out shopping. We don't have any fancy rules; we just open the door and see who comes in. Sometimes it is just neighbors looking for a small gift. We try to keep things relaxed inside. If the tea man comes by, we usually take a quick break to have a cup. The floor is a bit scuffed from everyone walking in, and our mannequins in the window have been there for a while. We don't use any fancy computer systems for our sales, just a simple notebook to keep track of things. It’s just a regular local shop doing its thing day by day. We have been here long enough that we know most of the other people working on this street. It feels like home.
