Shri Vinayak Gneral Store

We started Shri Vinayak Gneral Store quite a while back now over in Shyamnagar. If you live around Baba Ramdev Nagar, you probably know the spot at number 431. It’s just a small shop where we keep the usual things people need every day. My brother and I take turns sitting at the counter. Some days it is really busy with people coming in for milk or snacks, and other days it stays quiet enough to read the paper. We try to keep things stocked up so nobody has to go too far for basic stuff. The street outside can get a bit dusty in the afternoons but we keep the fans going. It’s not a big fancy supermarket or anything like that. We just have our regular shelves and a couple of refrigerators for the cold drinks. Most of the people who come in are our neighbors who we have known for years. We know what they usually want before they even ask. Sometimes people stop by just to chat for a minute while they wait for their change. It’s a simple life running a shop in Jaipur. We open up early and stay till late evening most days. There is always some inventory to check or boxes to move around. It keeps us busy and we like being part of the community here.
