Our spot is in B-37 Surajpole Anaj Mandi. If you know the grain market, you know how hectic it gets around here with the trucks and the laborers moving bags all day long. We deal with tea mostly. The smell of dried leaves is something you just get used to after a week of working here. It’s a bit of a dusty place because of all the grain and activity in the mandi, but that is just how it is. We start early when the air is still a bit cool. My desk is covered in samples and small bits of paper with numbers scribbled on them. We don't have fancy furniture or a big lobby. It’s just stacks of tea bags and a couple of chairs for when someone drops by to talk business. Sometimes the traffic outside gets so backed up that nobody can move, so we just sit back and have another cup. It’s a loud area but we like the energy of the market. Being in Surajpole means we see a lot of different people coming through from all over. We just focus on the tea and making sure the bags get where they need to go. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Usually, we are tired by the evening but it’s a good kind of tired. There is a lot to do but we manage.
