Shri Govind Creation

Our workshop is at 25, Mahadev Nagar, in the Nandpuri area. It is near the 22 Godam and Hawa Sadak, so it is a pretty well-known part of town. We do a lot of creation work here, mostly textiles and things like that. The sun hits the front of the building pretty hard in the afternoons, so we usually keep the curtains drawn. It is a busy place with people coming and going. We have been here for a good while, and the space has grown a bit messy with all the fabrics and threads. We do not have a big showroom or anything like that. It is mostly a place where things get made and sorted. The noise from the Hawa Sadak traffic is always there in the background, but we do not notice it much anymore. We have a few machines running and a big cutting table in the middle of the room. My brother handles the accounts while I look after the daily production. It is a simple family-run thing. We do not use any fancy marketing tricks; we just make things and people buy them. Sometimes we run out of space and have to stack boxes in the hallway. It is a bit of a squeeze, but we manage. The tea guy comes by twice a day, which is the highlight of the afternoon. We are just regular people working in a regular Jaipur neighborhood, trying to get through the day's tasks.
