Shri Balaji Coldrink & Ice Depo

We have been here at Subash Chowk for a long time now. It gets really hot in Jaipur, especially in the summer months when the sun is right overhead. People stop by Shri Balaji Coldrink & Ice Depo because they need to cool down. It is not a fancy place, just a regular shop where we keep the fridges running all day long. We handle a lot of ice blocks too. Sometimes it gets messy with the water on the floor, but that is how it goes when you are dealing with ice. Our shop is near Ramras Bhandar, so many people who come for food also stop here for a cold drink. It is mostly local people from around the neighborhood. We know many of them by name because they come every day. The fridge makes a lot of noise sometimes, and we have to keep an eye on the power cuts because the ice melts fast. It is a simple life here. We start early in the morning to get the stock ready. By the afternoon, the crowd picks up. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us making sure everything stays cold. You see the same faces every week. It is a busy spot but we like it that way. The traffic outside can be quite a bit, but inside we just focus on the bottles and the crates. That is pretty much it about our little depo.
