Shree Vijay Kirana & General Store

Shree Vijay Kirana & General Store is situated in the Shekhwat Colony area along Sirsi Road in Jhotwara. It’s a busy little spot where we manage both grocery items and general household goods. The shop is a mix of different things, like sacks of wheat sitting next to shelves of shampoo and toothbrushes. Jhotwara is a lively place, and our shop reflects that with people constantly coming in for their daily needs. We have those metal racks that are always full, and sometimes we have to stack boxes in the corners because we run out of shelf space. It’s not the most organized looking place, but we know exactly where every single item is kept. The mornings are usually spent dealing with the bread and milk deliveries, which can be a bit of a scramble. We have a small wooden desk where we sit and handle the cash and talk to the neighbors. There is a ceiling fan that wobbles a little, but it helps with the Rajasthan heat. Most of the people who come here live just a few streets away, so we hear all the local news and gossip while we are packing their bags. It’s a simple way of living and working, just keeping the shelves filled and making sure the neighborhood has what it needs for the day. We are just glad to be part of the Shekhwat Colony routine and see the same friendly faces day after day.
