Shree Ram Kirana Store

Our kirana store is right by the Badarna Subji Mandi Pullia in the Vishwakarma Industrial Area. It’s on Road No 14 in Udhyog Vihar. Being near the vegetable market means it is always hectic, especially in the early morning hours when the trucks arrive. There are carts and people everywhere. We mostly sell the basic groceries that people need after they finish their vegetable shopping at the mandi. We have sacks of flour and rice stacked up against the wall. The shop isn't very large, so we have to use every inch of space we have, even the high spots near the ceiling. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes with all the bags and packets around. We don't have a fancy display, just the items sitting where people can see them easily enough. The air around here is always full of the smell of spices and the sound of the market. We have been here for some time now and we've gotten used to the fast pace of the industrial area. Customers usually know exactly what they want, so we spend our time filling bags and calculating totals on a pad. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from dawn till dusk. Sometimes the rain makes the road outside a bit messy, but people still come in anyway. We just put down some cardboard on the floor and keep going. That’s just how it is at Shree Ram Kirana Store.
