Shree Kirana & General Store

Our shop is tucked away on Akshardham Marg in Vaishali Nagar, which is a fairly busy part of Jaipur. Since we are quite close to the Akshardham Temple, we see a lot of people passing through, especially on holidays or weekends when the crowds get bigger. Shree Kirana & General Store is basically just a local spot where people from the nearby houses come to get their weekly groceries. We have the usual stuff like big sacks of flour, jars of spices, and various household cleaners. The shelves are made of simple wood and sometimes things get a little disorganized when we are busy unloading a new shipment from the distributor. It’s not a fancy supermarket with bright lights and music; it’s more of a traditional corner store. We spend a lot of time weighing out things or looking for that specific brand of tea a regular customer likes. The street outside can get quite narrow with parked scooters, but it’s a lively neighborhood. We’ve grown accustomed to the bells from the temple and the general pace of life here in Jaipur. Sometimes the electricity goes off and we just sit by the door for some air. It’s a straightforward business, really. We just make sure we have enough stock of the things people use every day, like pulses and cooking oil. Being at number 7 on this road makes us easy to find for anyone living around the Vaishali Nagar area who needs a few things.
