Shree Hotel Shyam Palace

We’re located over on Power House Road in Sain Colony, at B-35/A. It’s a bit of an older part of the area, but we like it here. This place isn't one of those massive hotels you see in the brochures; it’s more of a local spot where people stay when they’re passing through for work or visiting family. We’ve got several rooms and a place to eat downstairs. My uncle started this, and now a few of us cousins help keep it going. We spend a lot of time on maintenance because old buildings always need something fixed, whether it’s a leaky tap or a lightbulb that’s gone out. The road outside can get a bit dusty with all the activity, but we try to keep the inside as tidy as possible. We don't have a big staff, so everyone does a bit of everything. One minute I might be checking someone in, and the next I’m helping out in the kitchen. We serve basic meals that are filling and don’t cost a fortune. It’s a practical place, really. We get a lot of regulars who come back every time they’re in town because they know what to expect. There aren't any fancy lobby fountains or anything like that, just a place to sleep and a hot meal when you need one.
