Shivam Tea Company

Shivam Tea Company is right at 337 Tripoliya Bazar, which is one of those old parts of the city where the lanes are narrow and the history is thick. We deal in tea, and you can smell the different leaves the moment you step anywhere near our door. The shop is basically just a collection of big sacks and wooden bins filled with various grades of tea from different regions. We spend a lot of our day weighing things out on old scales and talking to the regular buyers who come in to restock their own small shops or kitchens. Tripoliya Bazar is a place where everyone knows everyone, and we are just one small part of that big ecosystem. It’s not a quiet place; there are bells ringing from the temples and the constant chatter of the market outside. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just know our tea and we know our customers. Sometimes we sit on the stools and share a cup ourselves while discussing the weather or how the market is doing. The wooden floorboards creak, and the shelves are a bit crooked, but it works for us. We've been at this address for a long time, and the building itself is much older than we are. It’s a straightforward business, really. We get the tea, we check it, and we sell it to the people who want it.
