Shiv Provision Store

Shiv Provision Store is located in Chandpole Bazar, right inside Dinanath Ji Ki Gali, near Agarwal Farm 9. This area is always full of people and noise. My shop is tucked away in the lane. It’s not very big, but it’s enough for what I do. I’ve got shelves lining every wall from the floor to the ceiling. They are mostly filled with pulses, rice, and spices. The smell of the different grains is the first thing you notice when you walk in. I spend a lot of time weighing things out for customers. Some people want just a small amount, others buy for the whole month. The lane outside is so narrow that two bikes can barely pass each other. It gets crowded in the evenings. I usually have a fan going near me because it gets stuffy in the back. I don’t use any computer systems or anything like that. I just write things down in my ledger. It works for me. Sometimes I stand out front just to get some fresh air. The neighbors in Dinanath Ji Ki Gali are nice enough. We’ve all been here a long time. It’s a bit of a climb to get to some of the higher shelves. I have an old wooden stool I use for that. It’s a simple life running a provision store in Chandpole Bazar. Nothing much changes from year to year, and I’m okay with that.
