Shiv Pan Bhandar

You can find us right near the Hanuman Mandi in the Chandpole area. Being close to the temple means we see a lot of people every single day. We’ve been running Shiv Pan Bhandar from this small spot for quite some time. It’s a simple stall, really. We prepare different types of pan for the people who stop by after their prayers or just while walking through the market. We have the usual stuff, betel leaves, lime, nuts, and all the various fillings. It’s a bit of a tradition for many to stop here. The space is small, so everything is within arm's reach. We also keep some basic items like mouth fresheners and cigarettes. It gets very busy in the evenings when the temple has more visitors. We work quickly to make sure nobody has to wait too long. There’s no seating here, just a counter where we hand over the pan. We know many of the regulars by name and what they usually like. It’s a lively spot with all the noise from the street and the temple bells nearby. We don’t use any fancy machines, just our hands. It’s just a small local business trying to serve the neighborhood. We keep the leaves fresh and the jars filled. That’s pretty much how it goes here day in and day out. We just keep folding the leaves and serving the folks who come by our little corner.
